| Unfortunately, this card is only useful if it is not played on a Fire field. The Fredonian Wanderer, while it may look appealing should be avoided. There are better cards in the game for Mana generation. In reality, as soon as this is played it might as well appear as a giant Bullseye because that is all it is. With it’s low life, it’s low attack and mana generating ability that only works when you play creatures, this card is not recommended. If you find that you absolutely must play this card, try to play it where it can be protected (somewhere where it is blocked off from direct attack). A corner or a field blocked by possession. A common mistake is to play this card on your first move and leave it open to attack. Try to anticipate what can kill this card before you play it. If it survives long enough for you to play one creature, at least you’ve made your mana back on it. |
